WORKSHOP ~ FINDING THE HEART OF THE BOOK

Finding the Heart of the Book

Right in the heart of an altered book you will create a cozy nest for a little lost bird.  This bird's nest altered book will be created using gesso and modeling paste among other amazing techniques. This is an old book in the middle of which a hole has been cut and the pages torn to give the effect of a nest. The little bird lies snuggled in the center. The spine has been embellished with a collection of beads and ribbons.

Students are encouraged to bring their own X-acto knife.
